Service Contracts

M&T Heating & Cooling offers the following service contracts:

  • One Year Service Contracts

  • Three Year Service Contracts

  • Five Year Service Contracts

    With the three- and five- year contracts, M&T adds an additional year of service coverage to each of these periods (in effect then you area actually purchasing four or six year contracts).


Choosing Your Service Agreements

There are three basic agreements commonly used in the residential market. They are:

  • A Basic Tune-up Agreement

  • A Maintenance and Labor Agreement

  • The Complete Care EXTENDED Protection plan (i.e. Full Maintenance, Labor, Parts and Emergency Service)

We find that it takes more than one type agreement to satisfy our customers. We offer each of the Plans outlined above. Each plan is briefly described below.

Basic Tune-up Agreement (i.e. An Annual Preventive Maintenance Service Call)

This is your basic level service agreement. It offers customers benefits at the lowest possible cost.

  • We agree to clean, adjust and inspect the equipment on a scheduled basis for a fixed fee.

  • We charge normal rates for any repair materials (less any customer discount) and for any labor required for repairs and emergency calls.

A slight modification of this agreement allows a discount for service performed at the time of a regular call.

Highlights of a basic tune-up agreement:

  1. One annual fee covers the labor and material required for basic maintenance only. You pay for any repair materials (less any parts discount) and for labor required for repairs and emergency calls.

  2. It allows us to establish a customer relationship at competitive prices.

  3. It provides at least a minimal level of protection to you.

Maintenance and Labor Agreement 

(i.e. An Preventive Maintenance, Labor and Emergency Service)

This is the middle-level service agreement. We provide maintenance service as in the basic agreement.

However, our service technicians bill only for repair parts, not for labor or maintenance materials. If you need emergency service, you are assured that we'll be there.

Highlights of a maintenance and labor agreement:

  1. One annual fee covers the cost of all labor for inspection, maintenance and breakdown repair. All listed maintenance parts and materials are paid for, such as filters, and grease. The customer pays for repair parts, less any customer discount.

  2. This program is our "standard" service agreement. This is the best agreement for both you and for us. Your receive better protection and less chance of an unexpected cost than with a basic tune-up agreement.

  3. We charge for emergency service after regular service hours at a rate that minimizes your cost of overtime. (Optional)

  4. It allows you to provide emergency service at no extra cost if you choose to do so for customers with good service histories. This can become a competitive selling point.

  5. You are protected from the cost of serious problems by receiving the best preventive maintenance service possible.

The Complete Care EXTENDED Protection plan 

(i.e. The Full Maintenance, Labor, Parts and Emergency Service)

Our company has two agreements of this type.

One is for Lennox products covered under the Complete Care program. 

The other is for products not covered under Complete Care (either Lennox or non-Lennox).

The Complete Care program has a backup reimbursement plan (guarantee) for an up front cost.

The Planned Service Parts and Labor Agreement is funded by the dealer alone.

A full maintenance agreement is the best service agreement you can receive. This agreement is best suited for top quality customers, with a considerable investment in their installations.

This program provides the greatest security, because it has no unexpected or "surprise" costs. A Complete Care Extended Protection Plan offers you complete peace of mind.

Highlights of the Complete Care Extended Protection Plan:

  1. One fee covers all expenses, including labor, parts and emergency service.

  2. Covers all labor charges without charging you for any overtime for after-hours emergency service.

  3. By using the Complete Care Extended Protection Plan, reimbursement of parts and labor cost is insured by Lennox.
